Collection Introduction
This collection is dedicated to Dan’s work photographing England's National Parks with his view camera. This work marks a change in direction from Dan’s digital work and a progression in his technical knowledge. It also builds on his early work with 35mm and medium format film cameras. Dan’s last project View Camera Test forms a test of equipment and ability for this collection.
Dan’s inspiration for this Collection was, Ansel Adam’s work on US National Parks using a view camera and Dan’s own work on Dartmoor during his Early Photographic Work collection titled, Natural Beauty.
The photos were taken on Dan’s Toyo-Field 45CF Kit using Fomapan 400 Film and all the negatives were developed at home with his film development kit using ilfosol 3 developer.
Following that, the photos were then digitised Dan’s DSLR scanning equipment and after this, the images were edited using Negitve Lab Pro and Lightroom Classic.
