Project Introduction
From the very top to the very bottom, France ranges from urban sprawls to vineyards stretching beyond the horizon, from immaculate sun-kissed beaches to abandoned buildings. The French may seem a bit odd to the rest of the world, but there’s a bit of the French mentality in all of us—whether it’s their love of food and culture or their flat-out refusal to be ruled over. They have an unwavering aversion to social convention and often play the mediator in foreign affairs due to their unique global standing. French life is a simple one, but a wonderful one. In this shoot, I trace the outline of France in pursuit of capturing the vast range it has to offer.
Photos were taken on a Leica M262 with Leitz Lenses. Original photos were selected, edited and uploaded in October 2022. Photos were re-selected, re-edited and re-uploaded in June 2024 to better reflect and interlink with the global photography body of work.
