Scotland is a country within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which itself is a country. Confused? We all are. Due to this one may think that it has no real identity but you would be wrong. This country within a country has a strong national identity and heritage dating back to before the formation of the UK. They reckon that humans have inhabited Scotland since 43CE and did not join England till 1707CE. Over the years this tiny nation in the North Sea has been, a concord land, a humble land, and a land of great power and fortitude. Scotland with its beautiful and rugged landscape, amazing cities, great culture, and fabulous driving roads is a must-see place on most people's travel lists.
